I designed the very first Monument board way back in...lemme see...2001 and Dave has continued to put out kick ass line-ups every single year in both build quality and artistry. Some of the artist series inclued Maya Hayuk, Dalek, Kelsey Brookes, Cody Hudson, Steven Harrington, Krink, RAMMELLZEE, and many others. Known for their wacky big head spokesman Jack, the West coast chain was due for a serious make-over across the board. Not too long ago they released their new dimensional logo designed by Duffy & Partners. However, since that logo update much of the chain's other collateral started to become inconsistent in look and feel. Partnering with Secret Weapon I created several new look explorations that plays off their kooky appeal. They included everything from posters, to advertising, cups, burger wrappers...etc. A very fun project and below is a sampling of a few directions. <img BBDO SF has hosted quite a few honky tonk bands over the years on what is known as Rodeo Wednesdays. To celebrate all of this music goodness they decided to put out a vinyl record compilation of all the bands that have swung by Market Street in San Francisco (BBDO's office in case ya didn't know). I worked on the concept, design and illustration for the album that also included a 24"x24" poster. Seven of the top mountains in the West (Vail and Breckenridge to name a couple) under one season pass. To launch another year of Epic Season Pass I worked with BBDO SF to develop various designs that would drive the look/feel of the campaign as well as the physical pass itself. The idea was based on taking in all the fun wacky stats that we do on the mountain (ie. drinking hot cocoa, days of sun) and using your actual stats in the ads. They started by focusing on the battery and then built a car around it with 100% of their focus on green technology. While at Blitz I worked on an enormous amount of visual explorations that would influence everything from CODA's future campaign work to their website to even display graphics at the LA Auto Show as well as their first retail outlet at Century City Mall. I teamed up with BBDO SF to take on a gigantic task of rebranding the resort. This included everything from updating the current logo to creating new logos for the ski school and mountain lodge, apparel design, and look/feel for future advertising campaigns. Sadly after many days of work the client decided to take things in another direction, but I'm still proud of all that was accomplished during this exercise.
